Kind of normal

I enjoyed the go cart track yesterday, and the trip to Dairy Queen even though my root beer float landed in my lap.  I enjoyed having some alone time with my grandson to sort of kind of poke and pry about his life in north Texas.  I did not enjoy taking him back to my daughters home to find that the pipe under the kitchen sink had busted and everyone looked to me for the fix.  I don't have the fix.

I enjoyed creative leftover cooking.  I particularly loved making mashed potato candy.  Take cold mashed potatoes and mix in lots of powdered sugar and chopped pecans, roll into small balls about a tablespoon size and refrigerate.....delish.  Mama used to dip them in chocolate too.

I am not interesting this morning, just sober and mostly content.  The few worries that are gnawing at me can not be solved in the next 24 hours and so I will do what I know best, stay in this day.  I'll call a few people who need to know that someone is thinking of them, love on my husband and dog and try to think of some way to celebrate my wedding anniversary tomorrow.

Wishing you peace.

It all sounds wonderful, except for the broken pipe. You are a cool Grandma!

Well the mashed potato candy was very interesting. Also the idea of all that love you give out....that inspires me to stop managing...even more than I have already stopped, and love more. Bless your heart pam.

Didn't picture you as a Grandma (whatever that means?).
I apologise for my generation (whatever that means?) when we look to "you for a fix". Sometimes we have to re learn that learned helplessness is not the best fix for everything.
And other times we genuinely want to fix it ourselves and are just discussing it with you first (whatever that means?)
Ok, everyone confused?
I'll just go now...

Happy Anniversary, Pam. We must have had the great idea that the time around Thanksgiving was a good time to be married. Avoid the Christmas rush!

My wish for you today is that everyone leaves Pammie alone.
