Please act right and save me the amends process

I went to bed very troubled last night and then spent all night dreaming about finding some kind of secret lipstick that made your lips look lovely. How odd that my brain picked such a mundane topic to dissect all night after falling asleep with heavy thoughts on my mind.  FYI: It seems the lipstick comes in a spray paint can and you must be able to spray it without getting it all over your face.  Look for it to arrive soon at a store near you.

A lot of people around me did not act right this weekend.  I needed to type that and look at it.  Truth is, I don't always act right either.  I have an amends to make this morning and I need to do it without putting a "but" in the sentence. I need to do it from a "right" place.  I can not however, get to the "right" place on my own.  I will seek Gods will on this before opening my mouth or putting pen to paper.

Last night in a meeting, a girl with eight years sober was talking about injuring her foot Friday and then having to stand for 12 hours at work on Saturday.  While driving home late Saturday night, it crossed her mind that a shot of tequila would ease the awful pain in her foot.  Then she remembered that one shot of tequila can only travel down as far as the rib cage and it would take at least four shots to able to reach all the way down to her foot.  We all shook our heads in agreement since this is a well known fact.

Enjoy the day ahead.

I don't like going to bed troubled. But when I do and then awake the next morning, it is amazing how much better I feel. A new day, a new chance.
LOL on the tequila shots--never tried to cure my aches and pains that way for which I am grateful.

Thanks for this today, Pam. Once again you are the example I need to see. So grateful you are here. Last night I dreamed that I went to the shelter and got a puppy. Now that's something I need about as much as a tequila shot!

word verification unablemi, ha,ha!

The bit about the girl and the tequila was what I needed to hear. My head still goes there sometimes. With my job physically wiping the floor with me most days, I go to crazy places in my head about what would help me to feel better. God makes me feel better. End of story.
