Monday - That's the best title I could come up with

I have four sponsees celebrating sober birthdays this month and all but one have been struck with the crazies.

I had several business meetings yesterday (fellowship business) and there are always people who just want to argue about stuff.  It really got on my nerves I tell ya.  Area level service work is not for the faint of heart.  It is guided solely by traditions and concepts of service.  One has to be committed and it works best when we leave our ego at the door.

I am less than a week away from my 20th sober birthday.  I never mention my sober time in a meeting for fear of "putting off" the newcomer.  I'm afraid that they will not approach me for my phone number or for help in general.  I know that when I was new I believed that if you had 20 years then you must have this problem licked and would not understand what I was going through.  I am still an alcoholic, I am still a drug addict and the only thing different between me and the new comer is that I've found a power that gives me a daily reprieve.  I want so badly to give that solution to the newcomer.....to give back.

It's Monday y'all.....damn. Let's walk gently on our planet today and show some love to our fellows. K?

Some of my best blog titles have come out of the days when I am struck by the crazies.

I used to work in area meetings and found them to be just as crazy as you do. Thank God for people with a passion to serve. We did get a lot accomplished, despite what we humans do. Have a great Monday.

Hi Pammie,

New to your blog but congratulations - 20 years. Phenomenal! I like the image/question a lot - it's got my brain spinning in all kind of directions. Thanks for the brain food!
