LuLu singing "Oh me oh my I'm a fool for you baby" is my "fools" song in my head this April Fools morning.
- I am grateful and pissed that I have so much planned for the weekend.
- If the weekend consisted of three days then I could get in that "day of rest" that people talk about.
- My husband bought a travel trailer last night, but I don't know where the hell we're going in it.
- I am grateful and pissed that my husband is always full of surprises.
- I am grateful that I don't have to travel through this day alone, that God is my constant traveling companion.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I needed the Emerson quote today. Oh, yes indeedy, I did.
'Morning, Pam!
“Fall seven times and stand up eight.” - Proverb
I appreciate the Emerson! And glad you happened by my standing up to the "maelstrom." Every day is a new day to be kind, despite the unkindness of our adversaries.
PS: I got a smile out of your being pissed AND grateful, on so many counts. Honest.
Sounds like Pammie will be hitting the open road! Just like Kerouac.
I've always been for three day weekends... Actually seven day weekends would be good, too, LOL... Loved the Emerson quote!!
I had shoulder surgery 4 weeks ago and am thoroughly enjoying having all this time to myself. There is very little pain and it is about as useful as it was prior to the surgery so I'm just digging it! I am told I will have a few more months of this at least. Thank God for disability insurance, and am so grateful that I have a job that provides it, at a price, that is well worth it.
