Wednesday Morning

Oh my, yesterday I was like a 7 year old at the dentist, well on the inside.  An hour and a half with my mouth open but I lived through it.  Whew.  Both my daughters text me last night with "I'm proud of you" because they know how afraid I am of the dentist.  Of course as it turns out, I have every right to be afraid because it was awful.

Huge amounts of drama going on with my children and the Dads side of the family.  I am so grateful that he left me for another woman 25 years ago. He is on his 7th marriage, I was number 4.

I am working closely with one of my sponsees to ensure she keeps her side of the street clean with some family drama she is experiencing also, but she's too far into righteous indignation to hear me at the moment.  I'm familiar with righteous indignation and I know how hard it is to hear anything other than how very right you are and how very entitled you are to your anger.

Letting people be where they are is so much more difficult than just popping them upside the head and saying "wake up fool!"

Glad to hear you survived the dentist. Dentists scare the hell out of me.

And glad I have friends who pop me on upside the head and shout 'Wake up fool!'

YAY for Pammie - going to the dentist. It is difficult and expensive. (and since I wrote about that earlier this year on my blog, I get the occasional comment from a dentist?)

I'm all for the pop upside the head approach.

I think that being in the dentist's chair is one of the most vulnerable spots to be--mouth open, with someone prodding and scraping and poking around. Luckily, I have great teeth. But still...lots of indignation on it all.

I'm awake! I'm awake! LOL!
Did you get a prize from the treasure chest? I always do :)

Ugh the dentist...a necessary EVIL!

Being open to the idea that we don't know everything or have all the answers is a brand new concept to some of us. It has to be chewed on and processed a bit before we can embrace it.

But "popping" them is so much more fun!

Yay for you going to the dentist. I always get such a headache after being in that chair with my mouth propped open. Especially after an hour and a half! Ugh...
