Yak Yak

Oh how I wish I felt free to talk here about my "other" business.  But typing out words in this box is admissible in court.  I can say that the 1st week of every month has me calling, emailing and knocking on doors.  Listening to reasons why I have to pay for the roof over their family instead of them.  Hearing dogs bark behind the door when there isn't supposed to be any, seeing dead grass and broken window blinds that will cost me later.  This has been my "first week of the month" task for many years and I have seen it all.  It's back breaking and heartbreaking to see the way so many people live, with no regard at all for other peoples property.  OK 'nuff said since I've been blogging for a long long time without ever mentioning this.

I am taking my daughter to her eye doctor today.  She made the appointment herself and then asked me to drive her (yahoo...she has an inability to ask for help.)  I'm anxious to hear about how the small tear in her retina is (small tear 6 months ago.)  She is legally blind and lost one contact during the recent ER drama and of course it was her last one.  I am hoping I can talk her into trying glasses again since they don't run out.

OK...listen to this....Brother (my son) got a job !!!!!  Yes, I'm telling you the truth.  It's at a grocery store which sounded just like he had been accepted into Harvard when I heard the news.  He started training yesterday.  Now, what I'm worried about is that he said during the interview stuff (2 weeks ago) they said "we do a drug test" and he thought to himself "well crap, I will test positive for weed" but he said OK to the interviewer.  On the way out they did a swab under his tongue (I'm not familiar with that test.)  However, they did call him and offer him the job, so I don't know what that means except now I'm worried that when he showed up yesterday, they said "OH sorry, your test is positive."  We shall see.

Hitting the shower now with a joyful heart and much gratitude for my sober life.

That 'other' business sounds stressful, take care. I have had lasar surgery for many retinal tears and detachments, so hope daughter gets the eye fixed.

Have A good weekend --

Friends in my area who have "that kind" of business say it is indeed stressful.

More than one job here has been lost when the drug test comes back. Fingers crossed...

I think we have similar business. And I was more than happy to hand it over to the ex in the divorce. It was too much for me to handle. Praying for your WHOLE family.

i so relate to your job. it is absolutely stunning to me the exent people go through to convince you that they are the perfect people for your house but then turn out to be the exact opposite of what they portray/say. and it is shocking how people live. ok i'm done.

Good for your son with the job. I don't know about the other business but having anyone else live in a house and expecting them to treat it as if it were theirs is probably a pipe dream. I was relieved to give up the family home in Virginia after years of renting it to others. It was too stressful. Have a great day, Pammie.
