I can make the day special if I choose
Sober daughter went to her new psych doc yesterday. It is a team, two docs a therapist and a med student in psych rotation. She met with all of them to do a med evaluation from her 2 month stint in psych ward this past spring. They spent two hours with her. She loved them and feels she is in good hands. They said "oh no, one of your meds is ____?" It seems that one of her meds is dangerous for asthmatics and can cause sudden life threatening attacks. Sigh. That's nice to know after spending two days on a ventilator. I'm thrilled she has found a new place to go. She called me late last night and said "God really knows how to pair you up with what you need doesn't he?" Yes, he sure does.
I have nothing else this morning........well except hope, sobriety and a new day stretched out in front of me. I want this day, like all days to be special in some way and that's up to me.

Glad that they made that catch on the meds. Scary stuff with many physicians these days.
I'm glad she has a team that big to look after her. Everyone, and I do mean every one, makes mistakes. It is tragic when it is a physician with medications, but it happens every day.
God is present in her life, and she has a great mom too.
In my perfect world, the "team" is already assembled, and it doesn't take years.
Great positive energy to start my day too. Thanks.
What they all said.
That team sounds good -- thinking of your daughter and you, Pam.
