Sunday Morning

Husband is stable and when I left the hospital last night they were going to down grade him to a regular room.  He is now his cantankerous self.

I heard something interesting yesterday on a a radio program.  The topic was about people anxious for retirement and saving every dime to hurry up and reach that milestone. I thought a good point was made when a woman said if people would take a couple of fabulous vacations and get that "out of their system" then they may want to work a few extra years and postpone retirement, thus enabling them to have more money to retire on.  Instead of hungering for the adventures that  having more free time will bring us, take time off work now and enjoy some of the things that you are putting off.

This has not been a relaxing weekend. damn.

I was able to quit my job at age 39 and drink for 5 years. Then I went back to work for 5 years but continued to drink. At age 49, I was unemployable. LOL

Glad the hubby is better.

Glad hubby is getting better. Retirement? Whats that? My husband says he will probablhy die at his desk and I will be elderly caring for the elderly. lol Unless we live in a yurt by the river....and that is my plan. :o) If you don't know what a yurt is, google it. My husband says, "My God, all of these years of hard work all to end up in a tent out in the woods! lol

Glad your husband is back to almost normal.

I am taking vacations now and planning on retiring at 70 +.

I put in my time and am glad to be retired at a fairly young age. I took a few "staycations" when I was working. But there always seemed to be more to do when I came back. Glad that is in the past. Different chapter now.

Glad that your husband is back to being cranky and better.
