I Like Today Already

Tomorrow, I will be spending the entire afternoon at a biker bar in a small town that until recently I swore I'd never set foot in again.  When I was in my 20's and on my 2nd husband, I lived on a 150 acre horse and cattle ranch.  It was an awful time in my life because I was married to a very violent alcoholic.  I have several physical ailments today that are remnants of that time.  In addition to my regular 50 hour a week job, my husband and I own 2 other businesses, one of which is a motorcycle dealership/repair shop that my husband spends most of his waking hours trying to grow.  We are sponsoring a "ride for the cure" cancer fundraiser that ends at said bar in said small town.  I will be at the bar when all the riders arrive with the silent auction displays and general items for sale in order to raise money.  In all honesty, I am not going on this jaunt to cure anything, I'm going for the sole purpose of supporting my husbands hard work.  Whoopin', hollerin' and drinking is not my idea of a good time.  It's my husbands idea of heaven though.

I shall deal with Saturday when I get to Saturday.

I like today already.  I've had some delicious coffee, some puppy dog lovin' and some excellent blog reads so far.  I'm about to hit the shower, talk to God, eat some breakfast and go to work.  No telling what kind of exciting things life has in store for me.

Good Morning. I hope your day is pleasant, full of God's surprises--big and small, happy, joyous, and free. Thank you for letting me get to know you better.

Good luck with all of that.
I hope you will at least feel good
enough to know you've come a long way
from your earlier biker bar daze.Truly.

And if you won't feel good about being there
to help find a cure.I will feel good you are.

Cheers,xo

You know the saying--"if you want something done, find a busy person." Gotta love ya!

The thought of someone physically hurting you makes me sick. I know that you will take care of yourself as you go to that old haunt on Saturday. You are a busy couple!
