Yak Yak

After a long day at the office, I stopped and bought four new plants, came home and played in the dirt.  It was just what I needed.  I wish I could make a living without working.  Please feel free to make suggestions on that.

I am meeting a sponsee on my lunch break today.  She has 6 months sober and just spent a week in Vegas for a family wedding.  She can't imagine why she is now "kinda crazy."

I'm having nonsensical thoughts this morning about calling into work afraid...."I'm afraid I won't make it in today."  Calling in blind....."I can't see myself coming into work today."  I just want to go buy some more plants because when I find something that day/hour or minute that I like, I just want to keep doing it.  That has sort of been like a THEME for me all my life. LOL

You're too funny.

As far as making money without working, try inheriting oil & gas royalties from family. That's what I did. It's working so far. And it allows me to pursue my recovery full-time while buying plants often. And then playing in the dirt.

omg!!
When I find something I enjoy, its balls to the walls - all or nothing. There is NO inbetween for this alchy, no moderation whatsoever!!
Ha, uh, ya,, I got ya!

The Vegas thing got me too. I'll have six months May 10th and recently went to Vegas as my husband had business there - ACK!!! I don't gamble (realize if I start, it will become my "new" addiciton) and, duh, I don't drink. It was a test of tolerance and I passed. Nuff said

Last, the "plant" thing reminds me of that movie where the sober dude had to keep a plant alive, then he was ready for a relationship - something to that affect - ha, saw the flick nearly ten years ago while in treatment - amazed I recalled that much of it - :)

My only advice on not working is to do what I do, though it is not very lucrative. I just complted my BS degree and am rolling right into my Masters program - so,,,,,,,,, I'm a professional student.

How about calling in, but keeping your co workers guessing. "I don't know if I'll make it in today."

i've heard that if you do what you love, the money will follow. i'm sure it's probably a process, but i think it's worth a try..talk to your higher power first of course. planting and selling squash at local farmer market?

you'll be great at what ever you do!god don't make no junk...this means u.;-)

could you please do a post on why it is that addicts cannot or will not accept help from parents? everytime we offer help, it never works. i can help others with great success but not my own child. why is that? is it that he is not ready or is it b/c we are the parents?
