I'm just mad this morning

Dear people who pissed me off and made me afraid for my daughters safety,

I don't care if your job is difficult and the pay is lousy.  I don't care if you are suffering some kind of delusion of power over sick helpless people.  When you work with the mentally ill SHOW SOME TENDERNESS AND COMPASSION!!!!!!  If you are incapable of even faking these emotions then you are in the wrong field.

sigh

Crap, why bother.  It's like dealing with mall security and airport screeners and the front desk in a hospital ER.  Why do the real important jobs of dealing with the public seem to go to the most uneducated and least prepared to deal with the adversity of that position?  Not always of course....don't get all crazy and defensive on me.

On the flip side.......My daughter is used to people punishing her for being sick, it is the card you are dealt when your brain doesn't work right.  She accepts the locked doors, the meds in tiny cups and the power trips of minimum wage techs.  She will have her meds stabilized soon and she will come home and start the cycle again and again and again.  She walks the talk, she holds firmly to Gods hand and she is the most precious child in the Universe.

I have been writing a post in my head about this part of it for weeks. I just don't know where to begin.

Now I feel at least one person will understand.

I get it!! :o( I'm sorry. It sucks. H went to the dr recently and got blown off numerous times by various staff members. The dr. could barely give her the decency of looking up when talking to her. I felt all kinds of desperate to help. So far I have stayed out of it...unless invited. Then WATCH OUT big giant HMO!

It hurts to see your child be penalized and judged for something out of her control. Again, so sorry you both had to go through that.

It is the way of life anymore--few people care about their jobs or about helping others in a professional manner. Something is wrong and the crazy ones are running the asylum.

She has become a shining star! I admire so much those who are, by the world standards, handicapped by mental illness and yet by God's standards most useful and beautiful in the world as they somehow show a grace, tenderness and mercy that far outshines the normal people of the world. What a gift! I'm praying for you and your daughter all the time, I have in fact thought of each of you often during your blog-silence :) <3<3<3
