I Hope God is Up For a Ride Today

I walked outside this morning and it was already 80 degrees with oppressive humidity...alrighty then.

I remember getting off a plane one time in Cozumel along side a couple of very prissy well dressed young vacationing women.  As soon as the humidity hit them they were aghast and said "my god, this is supposed to be a place for vacationing tourists, couldn't they have done something to make the weather more accommodating?"

I would like to sit around and read today but instead I will make the drive out of town for the biker ride benefit.  I am making every effort to have a positive attitude and remind myself that a drive thru the town does not have to mean a drive thru my past.  I'm afraid of those feelings and I have never been a believer in the therapy that says "feel your feelings to heal from them."  No, I'm not on a damn healing journey, I'm on Saturday afternoon "raise some money for cancer" event.  I hope God is up for a ride today.

Enjoy your Saturday!

I believe we may have had the 'feeling' discussion before, some time back. I'm not a believer in that therapy either. I'm a believer in the 'detach yourself from the destructive madness and turn yourself over to God' kind of therapy.

Go in peace, Pam.

I think that He will be right there. He has postponed the Rapture just for you.

I have a physical defect also from an abusive event in a small town near you. He was drunk and raging, I was drunk and provoking. I got the short end of that argument. Every time I go see my mother I pass the apartment where it happened. It's been 36 years, but I still look over at that place and remember. How can we not?
